„Jos cu SUA”: Proteste în Iran după asasinarea generalului Kassem Suleimani

Comandantul forțelor speciale Quds, comandantul Corpului Gărzii Revoluționare Islamice Iraniene, Kassem Suleimani, a fost ucis joi seară printr-o lovitură de rachete americane pe aeroportul din Bagdad.

Împreună cu generalul, încă zece persoane au fost ucise, inclusiv adjunctul șefului miliției șiite din Irak, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

Liderul suprem iranian, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, și președintele Hassan Rouhani au declarat că Teheranul se va răzbuna pe Statelor Unite, iar ministrul Apărării, Amir Khatami, a promis un „răspuns zdrobitor” la moartea generalului.

Departamentul de Stat american a cerut cetățenilor americani să părăsească imediat Irakul din cauza tensiunii crescute. Ministrul israelian al Apărării a convocat o întâlnire de urgență cu șefii serviciilor speciale și armata în legătură cu incidentul, iar prețul petrolul brut Brent a sărit.
